Partners
Various role-players work together in partnership with Kunene for Christ. The partners are voluntary co-workers and fit in with the existing structure, mission and vision of Kunene for Christ. They work under the authority of the local church leaders and of Kunene for Christ.
The partners are among others the following:
- Congregation leaders of the Dutch Reformed Church spread throughout the entire Kunene region.
- Gert and Jeanette Lubbe of Veritas (course in reading, understanding and using the Bible in context)
- Gert van Zyl (Cohin-school service)
- Christ Hope International (Choose-to-Wait course)
- Bertus Kruger (agricultural consultant) and Christian farmers of Outjo (agricultural projects)
- NETS (Namibia Evangelical Theological Seminary)
- Crown Ministries (Derick Vermeulen)
- various other role-players, para-church organisations local and foreign (eg SWAM, and others) who also send work teams as needed.
Then there are an appreciable number of congregational teams in Namibia and South Africa who visit the region annually on short term outreaches and, through the work they do, help Kunene for Christ to realise its mission. The teams that normally visit the region are, among others: Heidelberg (Western Cape), Melkbosstrand, Vaalpark, Moreletapark, Napier, Springbok, Suider-Paarl, Hentiesbaai, Suiderhof, Otjiwarongo and Pionierspark.
Kunene for Christ’s most important co-workers are probably indigenous believers (among others the Herero, Himba and Zemba believers) and church leaders who actively portray the Word through teaching and living, to extend God’s kingdom in the Kunene region.
